Looking for advice on an easy to use shop manual for my new to me 1957 TO-35 Ferguson.Seems to be a few different books printed, not sure which one is easiest to use for repairs and maintenance.

Go for all you can find. Some say there are certain ones out there that are not good. I have found that the ones they say are no good for my Ford do have things worded differently at times along with different pictures but then that other way of wording or different pictures is just what you need to understand and clarify what the factory manual has. So do not skip over any for a different type as one may have in what you need and the other does not. Also if you can find early and late versions from same company go for both for as for like my Ford they change them and add more but also leave out some parts. That second manual is cheap if it helps you with a repair that the first does not adaquatly cover.

Good point, I have used multiple references to finish a job. Like you said, all worth it to get it done right.

Be aware there are operators manuals, repair manuals and parts manuals. I found most manuals on e-bay at a good price, but read the fine print, many are CD's and my computer does not travel to my repair shop.

I don't much care for the generic manuals but I agree, 2 views, 2 different sets of instruction can be helpful... to turn the light on.

Thanks for replies. I have ordered service manual and shop manual from Y/T. Currently on C/L there is an IT shop manual, may buy that also. I find alot of answers by searching online but printed material is nice to read.
