I farmed in Texas 10 years and then moved here to Arizona and farmed for 20 years. After I quit farming, I ran a transportation co. in Phoenix for 20 years. On one section of land here in Arizona I had some real rocky spots. To this day I don"t know how I got a stand of corn in those rocky spots, but I did. I am now retired and the wife wanted to plant flowers in some pots and put gravel in the bottom of the pots. I told the guy at Home Depot I must be an Idiot because I fought rocks for years when I farmed and now I am buying them by the bag full.

j3cub.. Coming to Case Grande late next week. Where are you located? Love that part of the country.

How many tons do you want? Here in Potato country they get harvested along with the potato crop. Huge piles every fall at the edges of the fields. A disposal problem for farmers. Don"t know why road commission doesn"t latch on to them for fill in areas where roads keep sinking into swampy areas...

I have a guy down the road from me that spent 20,000 (that is dollars) on boulders and rocks for landscaping.
Looks real nice.
Way out of my budget.
It took him a few years to get it all done.

I gave away 40 tons of rock to a stone wall builder just clearing about 1/2 an acre in CT. I still have that much more to get rid of but he doesn"t want any more.
BTW, I learned to fly tail wheel in a J3.

I am a darn city slicker now and live in Phoenix. My Dad bought a new 1951 8n when I was 11 years old. When I retired 5 years ago I bought a 51 8n and restored it with lots of new parts and a lot of TLC. It is in my garage and I take it out and drive it on the side streets about once a week. I get a lot of waves and thumbs up.

Jim,I owned the j3 for 25 years and sold it. It is now in Wyoming. I was taught to fly by crop dusters That did my crop dusting when I farmed. When I was a kid the guy that did our crop dusting was a good friend and he would clean the hopper and I would ride in there. Sometime I will tell you about the time the cat got in the j3 with me and bailed out off my shoulder at about 200 feet.
