What is a yanmar 240D worth-1979?

Our company is selling their old tractor. Two cylinder diesel, loader, 6ftback blade, 48" 3 pt finishing mower, power assist front, but no power steering. hour meter shows 820 hrs. The rear tires are loaded turf tires. Case/IH salemen wasn't much help. Gave me 3 different prices. It is pale green which is a 76 to 79 time period, but it was purchased in 81.

After looking at one of the more popular on-line tractor selling sites it might be in the range of $4,000 to $6,000, depending, of course, on condition, local market demand and how much life is left in the tires. Check out tractor house (one word in the URL) dot com, if you haven't already.

BTW, where is this tractor located?

No power steering with a FEL would be a deal ender for me.

I saw some prices from ten years ago that were $4500 to $5000. Now you can get a new JD for $11k.

I have a green YM 240 that I bought in the 70s. The only problem I have ever had was the tach and just recently the oil pressure switch. But is doesn't sound exactly like my 2 cylinder Deeres but it runs higher RPMs. I have thought about using it in a slow race with it at a slow idle.
