Diagram for AC D17

Hello all,
I just acquired an AC D17 (supposedly 1969); but, I don't know much about it. It's supposed to be a Series II, but how can I verify that? Also, does anyone happen to have a diagram where I can find all the parts labeled? Thank You for any help you can offer.

D17 ceased production in 1967 with the last Series IV. Series II was 1960-1962. Serial numbers 32001-41540. Serial numbers on D17 are found on the left side of the torque tube (clutch housing) right behind where the engine bolts in. It starts with D17, then the number.

For parts ID, you need a parts book, but first, get the OPERATOR manual. It IDs all the controls, features, etc, and tells you about operating the tractor. Fuel, oils, where to drain and fill, etc. Most basic manual of any tractor is the OP manual. When you get into fixing, you want the SERVICE, and maybe PARTS manuals.

Thank You for the clarification. My tractor's Serial # is 81864, so I guess that means it's a '66 or '67. Does that mean it's actually a Series IV?
Knowing this will help me get the correct operator's manual, etc.
Thank You

sounds like you are reading the wrong number. Serial number is stamped into the flange, where the motor meets the bell housing. Raised numbers are just casting numbers.

Easiest and quickest way to identify a series IV from previous models is on the right side of the tractor where the belt pulley would be mounted. If it has several hydraulic lines coming out of the opening where the belt pulley was previously mounted, then it's a Series IV. Different hydraulics. Live any time engine is running and high volume, low pressure versus the series I, II, III which was controlled by the power director and low volume, high pressure. If you see a flat plate or a belt pulley there, then it's an earlier model (not a Series IV).
