Working on the big engine again

I am working on the 10000 HP natural gas engine again this week. The fuel injection people have finished, and we are working on putting the engine online. It has a lot more low end torque than it did.

Somehow I have a bad feeling it now will require being worked on more then before the conversion. Many times simpler is better. Time will tell.

We have a gas storage field around here. They have 8 cylinder engine/compressors that are so big a man could stand in one of the cylinders. They use 4 cylinders for compressing the transported gas, 4 for power, Naturally gas fired - of course.

I bet my sister could be an expert in that field. She is a civil engineer living in Roswell, N.M. for a natural gas company and does pump station inspections from Houston to California.
