31 degrees here last night, and the thermometer is on the side of the building so it may have been a bit lower in the garden.

We had a light frost yesterday morning, but not this morning...which is good, as I'm NOT ready to fill silo yet! (n/w WI)

I dodged the 50 cal bullet again this morning. Had some frost on some round bales just like Saturday morning but no damage. Just checked some 105 day corn that I planted to pick on June 7th,it's starting to dent. Might have some corn to pick yet this year. The silage corn is filled, hasn't dented yet. Hoping to be chopping by Oct first,we'll see.

Walked on the lawn early this morning and saw heavy dew but no frost yet here in the St. Lawrence valley. The corn has started to die from old age. Should be dry enough to combine in about 3 weeks.

Called for 2 degrees last night. At 8:30 PM could of lite a match outside and figured here we go. At 3:00 AM a fog rolled in from the Ottawa river and didn't burn off til 9:00 AM. Four miles east of us they were scrapping the frost off their windshields. The next 2 weeks on the long range look pretty good. The corn is all well dented and the milk line is starting to go down and the soys have lost most of their leaves so we needed this break. Very thankful....Ron

I had no frost yet and i'm only 180 ml south of the NW territories.
Rains today so i expect frost in the next couple days

We had our first frost here last night also. Not a hard one, but a few plants showed signs in the garden about noon. We had a perfect fall day here, in central NY. Temp. about 63F with blue skies. I went up in the upper 40 to cut firewood, about 9:00 am and the uncle was on my tail with the MX110 and disc mower to mow the 3rd cut alfalfa in 22A field between the woods. I had a great day in the woods. Blocked and split firewood all day. I got a load of wood on the old Cheby woodgetter today, another one split up to load out tomarrow. The 3rd cut wasn't heavy, but it was better than a poke in the eye with a sharp stick. LOL. As you can see, this whole field is pretty close to bedrock. The bottom of a plow furrow looks like a sidewalk from one end to the other.
