A little while back I asked for prayers because of a large lump on my neck. Well the little lump grew to where I looked like I had no neck. 1st Dr, said it was a cervical sprain and prescribed drugs that did nothing. 2nd Dr said you have a tumor and it is cancer. 3rd Dr said I don't know what it is, but you should get a prostrate and colon exam?? 3rd Dr said I am not touching that tumor, you need to go to the ER. They did a CT scan and wanted to do immediate surgery. A 5th Dr said come see him , so I did. He wanted to put me in for surgery, but when I told him I had Major Medical coverage he did the surgery in his clinic. It turned out to be a treatable infection in my Lymp glands. 6 days latter I am on teh mend. Thank You all.

Glad to hear you are on the mend and it wasn't as bad as the alarm they sounded. Really puts your confidence in the medical profession doesn't it!

Glad to hear you are on the mend. I am sure it feels like a ton has been lifted from you. Just the unknown is enough to wear you out. Prayer is a wonderful tool that needs to be used more often. God bless

GLAD you found out the trouble and it was not as serious as you thought it could be. You should feel a lot of stress lifted of your shoulders.

ery good news! Glad to hear you are on the mend, both physically and mentally. Jim

Glad for the good outcome! Wondering if you"re going to share with the first 4 doctors? Terrible contrast of opinions.

Great news, it sounds like its pretty easily treatable.

But it kind of makes you uneasy when 5 docs all seem to have different diagnoses. I thought it was a more exact science these days.

This played out 2 years ago in Holland were Doctors still do house calls.
A BIL got severe back pain and high fever, 4 diff house doctors on 4 consecutive days said it was constipation, take a couple aspirin for the pain.
All of them refused to send him to the Hospital
BIL died on day 5 of acute kidney failure.

Glad to hear your good news. The bad news is that the profession we treat as "god-like", is not always very professional. 1 of 5? sounds like a 20% score on the test. Unfortunately for all of us, medical costs are bankrupting the country via medicare (and I'm one of the users).

If he was a mechanic you would refuse to pay the bill for a total mis-diagnosis.

Every year 30,000 die in auto accidents and 100,000 die from medical accidents...a scary statistic.
