Ferguson TO-30 Restoration Update

Hey guys it's Bryce. I just thought that you might like to see a few pictures of the Ferguson along the road to restoration! I finally got it out side and cleaned it up a lot more and primed it. Now I am waiting on Big R for paint, and one of my suppliers for a few parts, and we will be all back together. Behind it is the Case Centennial Plow that I have been working on. The funniest thing happened to me this morning. I haven't been able to find Case coulters for this plow ( didn't come with anything on it ) and today I decided I would at least go and see if one of my other plows had a matching set on it that I could steal to put on this plow. Here is my list of plows: An old Case 2 bottom trip, JD 52, Ferguson 3 Bottom three point, Case Eagle Hitch 1 bottom 2 way, and an IH belly plow. Well, I went tromping around through the weeds and proceed to find nothing, discouraged and disappointed I starting walking towards the last plow in the row, the JD 52, and low and be hold there is a perfect set of matching J.I. Case Coulters on the plow!!!!! SO, the primer is currently drying. Let me know what you guys think about the Fergie! Thanks, Bryce

P.S. Anyone know where I can find a battery tray for a Ferguson TO-30? I can't seem to find one am am getting desperate!

Your plow looks better than when new. If you have the old battery tray your local metal shop can make a new tray. I had a fan shroud made for a Standard Twin garden tractor at a shop that was making ac duct work. It fit like a glove. I sprayed it with acid primer. Even sprayed some inside the shroud. Hal

Does it have to be 'original'? A decent welder could make you one...

Bryce, what did you decide on the Ford?

Well I got a hold of the guy and talked to him for a few minutes. He really wants the tractor to be restored, and he REALLY wants me to have it, so he basically sounded like he would just give it to me! He left on vacation the day I talked to him, and won't be home until the day I leave for vacation, Hawaii!!! SO, he said he would get in touch with me after he know that I am home, how is that for a "good deal" Bryce
