It's amazing. When I see people run like that from police, they know they did wrong and try to run. They're scared is all I can believe.

i dont know if its still this way, but for a long time calif. had a rule that they would not use excessive force to stop a fleeing car, where i live theyll stop you, fast, you stop or theyll stop you, if you survive, its your lucky day

That is funny, however would not have been funny if an innocent motorist or pedestrian had been hurt or killed, which happens in high speed chases.

I never will forget many years ago cresting a hill and seeing a guy , in my lane passing a line of cars coming toward me. I instantly drove off the road into the ditch. As I sat there the idiot passed me followed by 5 or 6 police cars in pursuit. None of the police stopped to check on me but they all nodded and waved as they passed.

Luck me as I was not hurt and no vehicle damage. Other lucky thing I was close to home so didn't take long to go back home for clean underwear ! ☺ ☺

We just had one herein Marion mon night . Guy in SUV running from police , missed a turn drove into a house , driver was killed , house messed up pretty bad . We seem to have our share of motorcycle deaths when they run from the police also. Last one his family built a huge shrine on side of road , what an eyesore . Of course they are blaming the police for his death ...Duh ,,don"t run ,don"t die . Thinning the herd .

I believe they should make the choppers shut off the cameras once the perp. is removed from the vehicle, and let the officers relieve a little of their adrenaline rush.

Michigan is mourning the death of a state trooper, shot to death in a "routine traffic stop." Nothing funny about these police chases. Never know what"s gonna happen when they do get them stopped. Right now, a young couple are facing serious charges for killing a cop, car theft, and accessory after the fact. We lost one of our finest.

When I was living up in RI, there was a rumor started that if a fleeing driver hit 85 mph, the cops would call off the chase. One of my step-daughter's friends died because of that rumor. He crashed on I-95 doing between 85 and 90.

It's a sad story Rabbit. I don't know the young man accused
of killing the trooper. All I know is what I've read about him.
Part of that was this possible motive: He was due to get his
license back in 6 hours and didn't want to get arrested again
and risk not getting that license back.
A license he lost after being arrested for drunk driving.
He's 19, been in trouble with law since he was 14.
That's all from the media. Grain of salt etc.
Innocent until proven guilty.
