They did it back a number of years ago during a wet fall. If I remember right did not get an even stand. Results were not the best, but did get a partial crop. If ground is wet the seed will penetrate the soil and grow.

i'll keep an eye on it and see how it does,..he sure gave moms' flower garden a good dose of seed it's even on the porch, it's bone dry here right now but predicting rain,..i'll be surprised if it does good....

We have done it over the years especially when the harvest was late. Lot depends on moisture and getting the leaves spread on the seed. We also always seeded heavy rates. With the price of wheat seed these days I think we will wait till we get the beans cut this year.

A year ago I was talking to a pilot who was flying on cover crop seed of some sort. He said he was having one heckuva time getting the rate set right. Seed doesn't flow like liquid and he can't just stop in midair to make adjustments. Jim

I had an aerial applicator do some bean fields for aphids a week before the family reunion at our farm. I"m sure the city relatives would have enjoyed it if the job was done on reunion Sunday! Multiple passes, just missing the 90 foot Harvestore!
