Well I filled my freezer with beef and pork, so I am canning the veggies, not much room in the freezer. I did everything the ball canning book said, when I took the cans out of the pressure canner the jars were bubbling inside? The tops all sealed, but I don't know if the bubbling was ok or not. Thanks for any advice.

John" Your O.K.On a small amount , wife waits till all pressure is gone, opems cooker then waits a while before removing jars. Sets em down and covers with a cloth . Can hear jars seal.
You did right. Regards LOU.

Yep , your good to go, always love opening cans during a big snow and enjoying the harvest of summer, cant get better than that

Lets not jump the gun here jay...we can wait a little for winter...I still want to get more 2 nd cut in and I got a lot of firewood to do.

Lol, I haven't even finished first cutting, let alone second cutting, weather has been so crazy! I baled 200 bales yesterday, have about 500 first cut left!??? Better than eating snowballs I guess! I hope to get some second cut also. I have about 7 cords of wood in the shed, but I'd feel better if I could put in a few more cords. Iv got alot of standing dead. Time is always of the essence!

Ya, now we have to safty pin her diaper to stop her from taking that off! She's also touches everything, drawers, phones, chases the cats, ect, she really keeps us on our toes now!

Just a heads up...guy in broadalbin area has hardwoodmslabwood...some,pretty chunky stuff...$30/cord...banded and loaded on your, trailer.

Just took a batch of potatoes out of the pressure cooker, ever after some cool down they always bubble, I think they are still boiling, Always turn out OK, nothing to worry about.

In Indiana the only legal measure for firewood is a cord - 4 ft x 4 ft x 8 ft tightly stacked. It is hard to believe that someone anywhere is banding and loading a true cord for $30.

That happens because a vacuum is forming inside the jar as it cools. Its the opposite of how a pressurized radiator prevents your tractor from boiling over when it runs hot. The vacuum inside the jar causes a lower boiling point, so it boils inside the jar for a while until it cools down completely.
