That is a lot of tractors! I will bet there were a lot of people wondering, "What the heck?" Just where is this bridge?

Anybody happen to know who that is in the 2nd photo (Case VAC-14 ?) on the Mackinac Bridge? It looks like a tractor I sold a few months ago in Rogers City.

I suppose the wife and I should take the Super 55 and the 66 up there some day and do it. There always seems to be next year.

I like that bridge, last time we crossed it some people were working way up on it. I asked one of the kids how'd they like a job like that, wife says as long as you can swim what's the big deal, you're just falling in water, daughter says gezz mom you ever done a belly flop.

The picture is of a couple of other guys from Branch County, MI and me on the shore of Lake Huron in St. Ignace, MI after the bridge crossing. I am in the middle on a Farmall H my grandfather bought new in 1942. The bridge itself is five miles long and joins the Upper and Lower peninsulas of Michigan. The deck of the bridge is 200 feet above the water, so a dive is fatal. The entire drive is about 10 miles long and it took from 9am until 1pm to get all 907 tractors across. A few had to be towed, but not very many considering the all of them are over 40 years old. It was a beautiful day for the ride. Hope everyone who participated had a great time, I sure did!
