Just wanted to let the people know that responded to my question yesterday that I got the tractor fixed today. The coil was fried and it actually cracked the coil from the heat expansion. Changed the coil and it was back in action. No damage was done to the Electronic ignition conversion. Thanks for the replys regarding my issue and everybody make sure your key isn't left on overnight.

First off dont leave the key in the ignition.I cant get my key out of the switch if it is left on..Second , watch your ammeter when you shut the engine off .You can see the cutout open by looking at the ammeter. You will see a discharge on the ammeter if the points are closed when you leave the key ON.Lets use a bit of common sense, it seems to be in short supply on this forum.

You seem to be the only one with any common sense I guess--

It"s not the end of the world - he fixed it and all is fine --

I seriously doubt if I could get the key out of my ignition when it's turned off. Hasn't been for years and if I did take it out, I'd lose it.

Kids do play with tractors.Dont help them get run over.My ignition switch has let me take the key out for 27 years.I have extra keys for my truck and tractor,Cost a buck each.

That's good to hear.
Coil is much cheaper than a new module.
You will find a lot of folks here will pooh pooh the notion of electronic ignition.
But to those of us who have it or had it it's a great upgrade for your tractor.
