Reliable source of really old parts

I have a JD B grain drill. I needed springs for it, the ones that put pressure on the coulters, and originally talked to TX Jim. But he has more serious things on his plate right now, didn't want to bother him with this nebulence so I started surfing.

I came across a site named Nebraska Cowman, run buy a senior citizen by the name of Howard.

I got just what he he advertised on his site, in short order and in the process found out that he has a lot of parts for older tractors of most colors. Even has a catalog that he sends with the order.

So if you need old parts, want an honest supplier that answers your questions and is prompt in delivery, might just look him up.

He used to be a regular poster on this board, and I can't remember all the details of why he left. I want to say it was a dispute with the moderators but don't quote me.

I think he was the one that I got some spring tooth tines from that mount to a 1 1/2" pipe a number of years ago. Good honest man to deal with.

He still posts on here occasionally. Good guy- I had a transaction with him once that involved more trust (on both sides) than you would normally see between strangers halfway across the country from each other. Excellent outcome, both of us "performed as agreed".

He still is on here quite a bit. Met him this past July at RPRU here at Lima, Oh. Very nice man. I have a package I need to get mailed out to him.

Also possesses a lot of knowledge on old tractors. Good guy.

(YT his site does not carry parts for Farmall Regulars... too old of a tractor).

Sure makes you feel good when 2 people both hold up their end of a bargain. When I was just getting started good I bought a farm. Not only did I buy the land, I bought cattle, tractors, equipment, hay, and etc. In essence he left it all. The way he sold me the deal was like this---I could sell everything I did not want and give him the money for what I had sold and when I got through selling, the balance that was left he would finance it for me. I did not have a dime invested as I had put no money down. We both lived up to our word and are still good friends. Made me feel good, still does when I think about it.

He comes on here and is friends with Allan in Neb. He ran his own website for a while. I don't know if he's a senior yet but wouldn't hesitate to buy anything from him. He headed up the rebuilding of an old Farmall(F20?)by a bunch of web friends that was going to be auctioned off and when he thought the price was too low, bought it himself. It was real nice!

Thanks Mark. Glad I could help out. Didn't know I was a Senior but I do remember when they still sold Ramblers in my home town so I guess that amounts for something. It seems like the American was $1200, the Classic $1400, and the Ambassador was $1600
