Hesson 550

I purchased a used Hesson 550 that had been setting
idle for a while. Having trouble with the rear gate
opening all the way to let the bale out.

Check your tractor's hyd output, needs 1800 PSI, 8-10 GPM. I just went through a burnt up pump on my baler tractor.

Also check to make sure you have compatable end fittings that are in good shape. Some times over the years the end of the fitting will wear or rust to the point flow is affected. If the brand of fitting is different, some won't open the flow as much as others.
