Texas DMV strikes a blow for religious freedom

Read somewhere just the other day that some states are using facial recognition software, ostensibly to prevent people getting drivers licenses under different names, and that photo reflections from eyeglasses messes up the ID software.
 
What happens when he is wearing that and has to make a sudden stop while driving, especially a motorcycle. I think these religious nuts should be double taxed or charged. As my first sergeant always said about the officers, they put their pants on the same way you do!!
 

I just renewed my license. Had to remove glasses and cap for the pic. I got a temporary to carry me over till the new one arrived. The pic on the temp was black and white and made me look like I was 100 years old. It emphasized any crease I had in my skin. When I got my renewal my face looked like it was supposed to.

So I'll agree about the facial recognition.

Other thing is that you had to give them 2 thumb prints. So now they have your face, your fingerprints, your signature, and your SSN in their computer. If you are a dooms day freak then it's really bad news. But hopefully it will work for the general public safety.
