Here's a few pictures of some of the canaloupes from my garden this year. I had one the same size and weight last year. This one check in at almost 30" circumference and 14 lbs.

Looks awesome!!

Husband and I went bummin' today and bought a small one at a stand. They had samples and the flavor was good.

I like to serve cantaloupe with black pepper sprinkled liberally on top.

I always carry a big bowl of cut up melons when I go out on the boat. We eat on it all day long. Funny thing is its about the only time I do eat it. Must be something about being on saltwater that makes me want it. Those are some nice looking melons. I've got to pick up a couple tomorrow for my boat trip Monday

The Muskmelons ARE doing quite well this year.Never did figure out this cantalope thing.A cantalope as I understand it is a French melon.

I'll have to try some black pepper on a piece next time I eat some. When I was brought up we always put salt on ours and I still do today.

Get a real good ripe one, put it in the fridge, good and cold. Dig out the seeds and fill the cavity with good homemade vanilla ice cream. MMM MMMMMM ....James
