o/t Strichen Walk with Family

It was a lovely afternoon for a walk in the country with my wife, son and his partner and of course the Pug. As were are nearing the end of the nice days we decided to take the Wrangler so off came the hood (roof) and away we went. First stop the "The Lost Cafe" (look up their website) for a coffee and an apple pie, this is a great wee place and just a little quirky which we love. Once finished we then went for our walk, w e decided on Strichen as small village about 12 miles from my house. The walk included a small lake, some wooded areas, a stone circle, the ruins of Strichen House, Mormond Hill (some of you guys may have spend time there during the cold war period)and of course good Scottish landscape. Hope you enjoy the pictures.

Well, I certainly did - enjoy that is.

Can you tell me any thing about the significance of the stone circle? Looks like a small attempt at stonehedge.
