cement tractor weights

just took a pair of cement rear weight off a 560 Farmall diesel!! They are nice weights tapered on one side to fit into the dish of the IHC wheel!! Would guess they weight 200-300 ea. Was wandering if they are worth anything or just put them into the cement pile??

Sure they are. If they fit nice and work well and, here's the big one, if someone nearby can use them. Try listing them on Craig's List.

The one set I bought in 1976 weighed 360# each, cost $58.00 for the pair, IIRC. I always used another tractor with a big bale fork to install or remove.

How do they get cement to stay in the wheel for weight?
Do you mean concrete?
There is a big difference between cement and concrete.

Year's ago Dad made a set out of concrete like you described. Put them on and took them off lot's of times. He used them mostly for plowing and made the one on the land side heavier. They were the same size only he put cans in the furrow one so it would be lighter.

Bought a set as you described last year or so that I paid $50 for. They have a metal bad or wheel rim on the outside a nice clean set. They came off of a 560 also but are on my H now. chris
