Quiet treatment

I brought a new one home earlier this year also. Somehow I convinced her I needed one. Now I have three in the garage. Hope you get out of the doghouse soon. Any pictures?

Should have told her to live with it ........or depending on your wife, "I'm just borrowing it".

Here is a picture

Thought you said when you where down here something about not being able to own a bike due to the wife not liking them.. Guess you saw the one we have and had to have fun again LOL

Yes, Wife said "I suppose I cannot stop you". I figured that was permission, guess not. Now we are looking for forgiveness.

Well my wife wishes I could afford the bike I really want so she could take a ride with me at times. Still would love to have another BMW R60S like I had years ago with a trike conversation on it so as to save on my bad back and bad knees

Well my motto used to be: "They are going to be mad anyway so I mays well give them a reason" LOL

Nice looking bike. I don't recognized the make/model. Have not looked at cycles in 30 years.

Nice Bike !!! Is that the 800? I bought the 650 GS a year ago and love it... But DO wish I had gotten the 700 or 800. Just got home in fact, rode almost 100 miles today.

Here in NH whenever you see a bike out in the winter it is a Beemer. What did you tell her that you will buy for her with all the gas money that you will save?

Well see I now know where you went wrong. That is a sport bike as in get you killed by going to fast. Now if it was a crasser like say a R60S form say 1967 then she would not be shutting you off. By the way if you know your bikes you would know the R60S was the top of the line go fast of the year for a BMW but did not look like it. You have to know how to hide things from women some times and that one does not hide things, Maybe you should get say a million $$ life insurance thing to make her happy

Old, That is not one of the real fast bikes, like a crotch rocket. The GS BMW's are known as "Dual Sport", or Adventure bikes.. meaning they are also made for offroad use. Lots of them get used for trips to Alaska, and similar places.

Nice bike! Favorite son is a Pa qualified Motorcycle safety rider coach and I finally got around to getting my bike license back in June. I built up an old school 83' Honda V45 Magna from spare parts I've aquired from putting son's bike back together. Mother would never allow me to have a bike while I was at home and former wife was pretty cold to the idea, now there's nobody to say no (or give me the silent treatment attitude).
Enjoy that bike! Ride safe and don't get stupid!

I was stationed in France for 3 years when I was in the USAF.The gendarmes rode BMW yearround.

Either way that is a get a guy hurt or killed type which was my point. Yes road many miles on many type of bikes and have the scares to prove it

(quoted from post at 19:39:43 08/24/13) Yes it is [b:a02260269e]a beemer[/b:a02260269e], and I bet it will cost me 2 rooms of new furniture.
Yep she has a reason to be mad,..shoulda bought a Harley or Indian

I walked in a Harley store with my wife a couple years ago just to look around.
Within 10 min she was dealing over a bike,..i had to drag her out of the store or she had bought me one.(with my money ofcourse)
