A CV boot got torn up on the 825i. It is the one that goes from the transmission in the back under the seats to the front end. Deere allots 2.5 hours for it. Anyone done one before? I'm dreading it. I just can imagine getting that drive shaft out of the tube under the seats is going to be fun.

I don't like doing jobs I dread, especially when it involves gooey CV joints. Same reason I've been putting off that bearing on the grinder.

At $125 an hour, I'd give it that much time , too. It ought to take at least an hour to clean the unit, and an hour to clean up and have coffee afterward....
