Baler belts

Where is a good place to buy round baler belts for a JD 530? Also which splices are better? I think mother deere is a little over priced.

A&I has a good line of belts they bought WICCO belts who made most OEM belts including JD used to save pretty well with them have not checked for a couple years, but the JD owns A&I so I am not sure how much you can save sorry may not have helped much but worth checking with a dealer

The Alligator(rivited type) belt lacing are much more durable than the Clipper lacings. This place has a good price on belts with free freight.

Deere does have a good splice system. I would think you could get the belts wherever you want and still get the deere splices. We were having trouble blowing the splices on a NH baler, switched to using the deere splices and good to go.

Why on earth do you have anything John Deere if you think parts are over priced. And the trash talk using the term "mother deere" is disgusting.Go get another brand and grow up.

The only people who don`t think JD parts are overpriced have their head in the clouds. Green paint is VERY spendy, and t is not a knock on JD, simply a fact. It is good equipment, but if you can get parts cheaper elsewhere, why not?

Had my 530 baler belts re-laced and cut to length this spring. Done with the rivet type deere laces. Cost $45 per belt labor and lace.

I put on a set of Excel belts several years ago and have been quite satisfied with price and service as well as durability.

I have used these people and been real pleased. Hammond Equipment

Mother harvester was a common name for IH also. No disrespect intended, just a saying used everyday in the implement business.

Hammond equipment, faunsdale, Ala. He can sell you the belts, and tell you which splice to use. You don't want to use the high tech splices, on a baler that has rollers too small in diameter, to let them wear right. In other words wrong splice = tearout, if the roller diameter is too small.

Mother deere is a term used around here quite often and I guess if you have never compared prices of parts to other places you would not know they are overpriced. In my opinion the only disrespect was shown by you. Hope you have a wonderful evening.

We never bought new short belts...we cut long ones to short and spread the expense out over 3 to 4 years...new long, cut off long to short then in about 3 to 4(or quicker depends on how many you bale) years buy new long again

HAHAHHAHAHAHAAAAHAHHAHAAAAAAA!!!!!! Right, sure thing sport. "Disgusting"?!! Spoken like one who drinks green koolaid exclusively.

Trust me, all belts are not created equal. You will get what you pay for! You cannot tell what is on the inside by outward appearances.

Hope you like your "will fits" or "will work".
