Old N H 77 baler running again

My Son has several old hay balers, he bales lots of hay most every year.
He has A super 77 N H baler, it had A motor on it. He took it off, hooked the PTO to it, and got it going. I will try to send A pic. of it.

That looks too cool. What year is that baler? 1940ish or so?
I thought my JD 214T baler was old. Guess this is a whole different class.

I remember those from my youth. Most had the easy-to-start, ha, ha Wisconsin V-4 on them.

Had one. Made good bales. Dates from late 1950's

Made thousands of bales with one back when I was a kid. Learned a lot of new swear words trying to crank start that Wisconsin engine.

did he find a pto off another 77, or rig up something else? I have a super 77 that is missing the motor, and I would like to get a pto drive for it.

Had one that my Dad bought new and did custom baling around here for years, it had hundreds of thousands of bales through it. I used it until 1999 for straw, made such nice bales. It has the Wisc. engine with battery ign and elec. start and always ran good, had a couple of valve jobs but never rings. It's now at the Nowthen Mn. threshing show, going on this weekend. I hated to sell it but I needed room in the shed, kids didn't want it and I can't take it with me when I go!!
