I have a b Farmall that runs perfect for about an hour and then sputters and dies. I replaced the rotor cap, winding coil, points and winding coil. I have checked the fuel tank cap for vent replaced the sediment and gas assembly.
There is no black smoke from the exhaust and no fuel line blockage.
Is it possible for the magneto to be shutting down causing the problem?

several possibilities, first your going to have to run it untill it quits, then imeadatly pull a plug wire and crank the tractor and see if you have spark, this will determine if you have a electrical problem or a fuel problem,

If you're not the original owner of the tractor some one may have lined the gas tank with tank sealer and it is coming loose and being sucked over the fuel outlet at the bottom of the tank. I had this happen on an old F14 I had. It would run good then starve for gas and die usually.

But yes as the post below says, you never mentioned anything about the condenser.

If you replaced the coil in the magneto there should be a date stamped or printed on the old coil and you can tell if it's original or not.

I repair Wisconsin 2 cyl engines for the local
Amish, usually from balers. The most common
problem that I hear of is engines that quit when
hot, or engines that won"t restart after being
shut down hot,(they will run all day, but if
shut down, won"t start again until cold) the most
easy fix is to change the condenser, but if that
doesn"t do it, it"s usually the coil. The smart
ones keep a new coil and condenser in their
tool box, and then it"s just a matter of five
minutes to pull the cap, replace components,
and be up running again!

dandee66, Mags Do Go Bad!. On our Irrigation wells In the Tx-Okla Panhandle,, HD800 Minnie Mos, Mags were a wear Item, Freshly Rebuilt from an local guy who does this 5 days a week, all year long! I have seen then run for 2 to 3 yrs, some one week, others 24 hrs, others yet will start up and idle but wouldn't hold power under load! Mags are only as good as the repair parts put in them.
I am not saying your local guy is using crappy parts,, On the Contrary sometimes he get in a batch that are bad for what ever reason.
If the tractor will start, warm up andrun for a period of time then quit....I say the mag has something heating up and then kicking out and causing the engine to die. I bet it will start back when stone cold! Hope this helps.

Many years ago my dad's farmall cub had a similar issue. We solved the problem by using the points, condensor and put an external coil on it. The distributor was a 5 wire, center wire is where the spark from mag was applied to dist. Cub had a battery, so it wasn't a big deal.

A few years ago I had an identical situation with a tractor. I hauled it home and before even trying to start it, I did the usual: cleaned the carb, changed the points, condenser, cap and rotor. Ran terrible. Changed the coil. Still ran terrible. Long story short, I ended up tossing the 'new' condenser and installing the old one. Ran great. Still does.

Be nice if that's all it takes to solve your issue.

One thing to check, and its out there is the valves If there out of adjustment when hot they can hold open, Very rare. Next is a cracked head when she heats coolant goes into intake side and kills motor again very rare!!!!

Look for a viton tip needle valve in the carb,A friends A would shut down.I pulled the carb bowl and found the needle stuck shut.Common problem in small engines. with a soft seat in the carb.A bad condenser can mimic gas problems.
