i have a 3400 kubota 4x4 and have been haveing a power loss while bushhogging, mostely while running uphill, will lose about 700 rpm but never dies, i changed the fuel filter and checked the aircleaner, anyone ever have this problem or a good guess as to what is going on,..my first guess was the fuel filter, but that ain"t it.....

Is this a new development or or is the first time your pulling said hill? How big is the bushhog? How big is the hill? If you've done this hill for years and this is a new problem then I'm sorry I don't have an answer. If this is a new hill maybe your just under powered for the job. Dunno

Check for good fuel flow out of tank. Check tank vent for blockage. The water separator filter on my M4900 had a tiny screen in the fuel cutoff valve that was plugged and required cleaning.

Well lets see, first how many hours on the L 3400.
Like the other poster, have you bushoged this hill before. How big a cutter do you have on the L 3400? What is growing on the hill?

tractor has 476 hrs. i"ve used it since new,..it"s something in the fuel delivery i think, just sounds like it"s starving for fuel, never dies, and only lasts about 10 seconds then might run good for 10 hrs.
