Rained in Michigan, but not here

Rain had been in the forecast for days... Worked my B... off getting all my hay under cover, before the rains came. Very dry here, would have been very welcome. Rains came, all in the southern third of the LP. Some reports 2 to 3 inches. We in the central part got nuttin! I mowed hay most of the day. Weather forecast dry for then next week. Gonna work hard to get it all in. Sure miss the rain though.
 
I was gone all weekend, but when I got home today had about an inch in a coffee can. Heard it rained most of the night. SW Michigan.

double r just curious where you are i grew up in marlette went in service in 58 havent lived there since.
 
Off and on little rains all day. Then a nice rain around 6:00 Added up to 8/10. Better then a kick in the shorts. Half way between Lansing and Flint.
 
I live NW of Chelsea,MI in the very NW corner of Washtenaw county. It rained almost all day here, many thunderstorm fronts moved through. I have never seen our grass be so green this time of year, and the garden is doing great. My soil is sandy so I never have standing water anywhere no matter how hard it rains.
 
Kinda agrivating ain't it? Gonna get worse with the temps they're forecasting next week. Close to 90 by late week. The corn needs the growing degree days,but some moisture would be nice for the pastures and hay.
 
Same problem last year here, we could see it in the distance raining to the South, the East AND the North (the West is blocked by woods) and not a drop here.
