Had wife soninlaw dump all out of computer and start over. Don't know how he totally emptied it then reinstalled the original start up disc. Works just like it did when new. Got to point I would turn it on get cup of coffee then it just might be ready to use.
I was ready to buy new computer!!

If you don't have good anti-malware software installed, you'll be doing it again in a few weeks.

My computer man said windows is it's self a virus and the way it attacked my last computer setup I agree. Twice it attacked 1/2 Linux, 1/2 windows programmed unit. This laptop is all Linux so should be OK for a while.
