Any advice on Portland Ind. Show?

We are going for the first time this year . On saturday most likely. Was wondering where we would find the good food at , any other hints would help.

I've gone to that show for many years. Be sure to get a "whole hog" sandwich,Try the steam cooked ham and beans, the elephant ears are great and don't forget the Lion burgers.
All are fairly close to the grandstand in the older, original fairgrounds area.
If you aren't taking a golf cart,be sure to wear very comfortable shoes.
The best show I've been to in over 40 years of going to shows.
I haven't been to all of them,but those folks really do a good job of hospitality. Can't say enough good about the place.
A word of warning-once you drink that Indiana limestone water you must return every year.

Plan on a very full day. I usually run out of energy before I run out of show. There are just so many tractors to see, and you'll always see something you never saw before. I've been going for over 20 years and it's still the best. The flea market is absolutely huge, if it isn't there it doesn't exist.

Hope to meet with some of you there. I intend being there on Friday and Saturday. By the sounds of thing there are going to be a lot of heavy-weights riding about in golf buggies? LOL

Sam;

I go every year and spend an entire week from Saturday. Camp in the Tri-State campgrounds. I will be there with my Case LA likely running one of the threshers. Will be wearing my Case colors. Look me up during the wheat threshing. I proudly weay my Case name tag.

For a great baked potato, check out the 4-H trailer!!!

Going to drive right on by Portland and go to the Half Century Of Progress. Been to both and well worth the extra drive.
