Just got back from Blue Ridge Mts

Only word I can use to describe it is "breathtaking". Here's the cabin we stayed in. Nestled in the woods on a 300 acre working farm. The guy built this cabin himself with his own sawmill. Also View of the pond from the top floor of the cabin.

They call that a cabin down there?
That's a beautiful place!
Glad to hear you had a good time!

Cabin? ? ? That's bigger than most of the houses where I live. It's Beautiful! I could be perfectly happy living in something like that; the owner did a fantastic job.

Glad you enjoyed your vacation; wish I could have been with you.

You are a lucky man to live among such beauty. We stayed at Woodridge Farm near Lovingston (route 29). Visited Walton's Mtn, Monticello, Crabtree Falls, drove the Parkway and Route 56.
Just awed by it all!! 4 days was not near enough.

Yes it is very big - larger than I would care to maintain. Easliy sleeps 7. Too many stairs too! But the pool table in the main room was great!

Hard to come home ain't it?! We got back Sunday afternoon. Been in a funk every since. Sure wish I was back down there.

This is the first vacation we have had in 15 years - told my wife on the way back I want to go to Tenneessee next!

We stayed in Nelson County (http://woodridgefarmva.blogspot.com/) I think I could spend a month just travelling that state.

Thanks! The story is the guy started out just building a bathhouse to go with the pond but his ideas kept growing.

My wife wants to go to Nashville, so I stopped in Nashville IL for gas - she says that doesn't cut it!

I bought a baler in Nashville Michigan last month. Does that count?
I'll bet I spent more money than you ever will in Nashville Tn. lol

Nashville,Mi. is my hometown and when the wife was alive we spent many week vacations in Nashville ,Tn. Music any place you go there.

You were near me I have places in Greene,Albemarle,Buckingham and Fluvanna Counties.
On the way to Crabtree Falls did you see the guy that has all the old JD crawlers?MIght be grown up so much this time of year you couldn't see them from the road.

No, I miised that. But I did see a place on the Parkway that baled hay straight up the mountain side. No tractors about to see what he used but had to have some hp to climb that hill. We took 140 pics and I wish I would have taken 3 times that amount.
I wish I could have told you I was in the area and we could have met up.
