New Idea 12A chain

Had a question about a New Idea 12a manure spreader. An elderly neighbor down the road needs a replacement chain, the chain goes to the spreader on the back and I'm not sure how to go about getting a replacement, if it's something I can order or if you have to order it made (and if so what the dimensions are).

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Chances are that it's a standard flat chain. You have to know about how many kinks are in it, and most tractor places should have them in stock. If you go to an AGCO dealer, they may be able to tell you just how many links are required.

Material handling distributors may be able to get it for you cheaper. Look for someone who does a lot of conveyors, elevators and such. Or look on line for a Martin Sprocket or Browning catalog

This evening when I get the chance I will pose the chain information for all the chains in both link size and number of links.

Upper beater chain can be 40 links of either 52 or 62 depending on lot number. Distributor or widespread 44 links of 52, floor chain 174 links of 67 plus 17 linke of each 67 ALS or 67 links of ARS, Main drive chain 71 links of either 70 or 72 or could be a roller type or pintal type but not likely.
