Just been standing in the backyard. As I turn round and listen, I can hear 3 separate combines working.Time is 7:40, fine dry evening. I wish them all the best of luck and hope the night goes well for them. Phil.

I just took mine to the field to cut oats. With the rain we had yesterday I think I'll wait til tomorrow afternoon to get started.

Speaking of Cicadas, does anyone know what the old wives tale of frost just being so many weeks away from the start of the cicada singing? How many weeks is it supposed to be?

I'd always heard it was crickets. Supposed to be six weeks I think.
