Did anybody get to see the World record attempt today on RFD TV?
They had 300 + or- tractors and 500 + or - trucks at the Speedway ( Brickyard) track in Indianapolis Indiana, today.
Today they broke the record for the most "pickup trucks" in a parade.

I was able to see it and recognized several friends on their tractors. I even talked to a truck driver while driving in the parade.

Hard to break the record set in Nebraska , but even harder to break is the recored set in Ireland for the most tractors WORKING ....Somewhere over 2000 tractors and it was a real wet day, I know as I set out to drive 40 miles to the challenge at 5.00 am that morning on a Massey 35 with no cab and the water running out of the legs of my pants!
Really we don't want that record to be broken as the man who organised it was ill at the time and died happy to have achieved his goal a few days after the record was set.

After the parade they interviewed the "High Pocket judge". He said the offical count was 386 pickups, and it set a Gunniess world record. He said there were 15 trucks that were dis-qualified because they had "hoods". I finally figured out the hoods he was talking about was any type of cover over the bed. The rules called for an open bed with no cover, camper shell, etc.

A good friend from Annapolis, IL took a tractor over. He said it was invitation only for 265 tractors I think plus the pickups. He thought it will be shown on RFD later.
