Tomato thief

Something has been sampling the tomatoes every night. I set up the game camera on a sawhorse, and caught him red handed. I wouldn't begrudge him a tomato - we have lots of them, but he won't eat the whole tomato, just a bite or two, then he goes after another one. And another one. And another one. A distinguished palate, no doubt, looking for the perfect balance of texture and sweetness, with just the right amount of acidity.

The tomato thieves that attack my mom's tomatoes are her cats. When the tomato gets ripe, they will eat just about the whole fruit. I keep telling her to put up an electric fence, but she hasn't done it yet.

That be shotgun bait to me. I have shot so many of them opossums it is not funny and Krusers even saw the marks on my patio from a few of the shots

Does she feed the cats? Maybe they have run out of mice. I have never heard of cats eating tomatoes. Stan
