You asked for pictures of castles, some time ago. This is Bolton Castle in Yorkshire, England. Built between 1379 and 1399, and now a tourist attraction. The owner, still the same family after all this time, does not live in it. He lives close by in the newer house that was built in 1675.

These are near me, the Hard Luck Mine Castle is about 1 1/2 miles from my Mining Claim, and Scotty's Castle is about 20 miles on down the road.

There is the Curwood castle in Owosso MI was the studio for James Oliver Curwood the author. He had it built to copy a french Chalet he saw or something like that. the Curwood books mostly were set in the Yukon and Northwestern territories and Alaska during the fur trapping time of that area. One of the Books was Mikey and Neewah.
