Looked outside at the thermometer at 5:15am this morning and it read 55 degrees here in Illinois just 30 miles East of St. Louis Mo. I can't believe it's still July.

Well I'm in Central Texas and not experiencing the cool temperatures you guys are. What's blowing me away is it's a few days away from August and the pastures are green. The pastures are always dead here this time of year and one of my neighbors was out cutting hay yesterday.

According to the news setting record cold temps here both for the lows and for the highs. Toledo, Ohio station this morning.

John B.,

Dipped into the upper 40's last night in MN.

Was so chilly in the shop last night, that I turned on the kerosene heater a couple times for a few minutes.

Sweetfeet it is funny how we are. In the spring after all the winter cold, 40 degrees is shirt sleeve weather. In the fall it is light coat and complain weather. LAMO

JD Seller,
Funny you should say that... said about the same thing to my husband last night. But after having a couple weeks of 85+ degrees and humid - I was freezin' (apparently I have a bad thermostat).

Mick, my landlord owned the ground where the jr college is. Sold it to buy 360 acres in Dewitt Co in 1968. Dau sold the east 80 on the the north side to the WMCA. Grand dau and SIL sold the last 160 where the big house was to Lowes, etc. I farmed for them for 39 years.
