Beautiful rain

I wish this one we're getting right now would turn in to something. Been drizzling for about an hour,looks like it's still a while from being over,but not coming down hard enough to do much good. It's not 90 and the corn isn't curling is about the best I can say for it. Just enough to stop me from hauling those round bales of second cutting hay and wheat straw home today like I'd planned to do.
 
Yes finally got some in my area(NE Kansas) a whole .60. Everybody around me been getting some. The first I have gotten in three weeks. To late for my corn. Neighbor three miles away might have good corn. Spotty this year.
 
About the same here, nice rain if it would last for two days. Was a large glob of yellow coning at me last night, but broke up about 60 miles befor it got here.
 
It sure is a "million" dollar ran here. The majority of the corn is tasseled so this will take the crop a long way toward harvest. Looks like right around an inch.

Be interesting to see if the grain market will go down today. Personally I hope so. The feed cost are still too high.
 
Woke up to a dark shy this morning and it was just starting to rain. Been raining now for the past few hours. Nice slow rain. We have been needing it also. Walked in the pasture yesterday and every step stirred up dust
 
I was going to shock the oats I cut with a binder last night. Maybe tomorrow. About 1/10 inch so far. Wife is at farmer"s market - in the rain. (has a canopy).
 
It gently rained here all day. About the second or third time this July with favorable temps. Most unusual. Temps are in the high 90's unusual also. Really nice year.
