There's a little more sand in this location. The soil in my neighborhood varies from light sand to heavy black and gooey stuff that sticks to everything. Jim

Brown clay. Bacillius clay is the most useless
excuse for anything but fill dirt.

Note they are digging in a stream bed. That is usually black dirt half way to Bejing.
