2010 silverado door handle question.

Went to open the drivers door on my 2010 Silverado extended cab and the handle broke off.
GM tells me I have to buy the whole inside door panel at over 300 bucks to get the pot metal lever that broke.The handle is fine,but the pot metal piece that fits into the handle and operates the door latch broke.I can find the
repair kits for the passenger side on ebay,but no
drivers side kits.Anyone ever ran into this? Thanks.

No luck there,they have the handle ,but not the
linkage part.

Any chance you can make one, or modify a pass side one to work? Just ideas, I have no idea what it looks like.

Every time I go to GM dealer, they want $300 for some minor part ie. fog light, cab air circulator. Do they have ANY parts for less than $300?

Might want to try LMCtruck.com they've been very handy for my '11 Chev and '00 GMC and also son's '98 S-10.
