Hydraulic problem

I have a New Holland TC 25D with a 7308 loader. The loader hasn't been on the tractor since last winter. I am having trouble hooking up the quick disconnects. Got the bucket lines to snap on but can't seem to get the up and down lines connected. It acts like there is pressure on the system. I have worked the controller and the 3point lift to relieve the pressure. Is there anything I am missing? Should I crack the lines behind the quick disconnects to relieve pressure?

You can tap the balls on the male ends and relieve the pressure there.and put something like a draw pin in the coupler and tap it with a hammer to relieve the pressure from the balls in there.

Try loosening the coupler on the loader side hose. They can build enough pressure in the sun to bind every thing up. Or maybe early morning is cool enough to let the pressure off. You can pound on them, but it gets messy and can make a flat spot on the ball if that type of coupler.

Went out this morning and tapped on the male side of the coupler, and some fluid squirted out. The lines hooked right up. Thanks to all for the help.
