OT Radiator Flush Follow Up

About a month ago some of you may remember I posted these pictures of my coolant in my 1998 Chevy Blazer. It was full of gunk. I let a gallon and a half of vinegar set in it over night and it broke all this stuff loose.

Well after flushing the cooling system 3 times and each time I filled the cooling system with just water and some Dawn liquid dish detergent. After the 2nd time it all looked clean but I did it a 3rd time anyway. Each time I ran it to work for 3-5 days before I drained and flushed it again. After the 3rd flush I felt comfortable enough to fill the system back up with antifreeze. When I did I still added some Dawn dish detergent with the anti-freeze, about 4 ounces. It's been clean ever since.

What gave me this idea was when we use to rebuild master cylinders we always washed them out with some hot soapy water then oiled them up and installed the new parts.
