Uniroyal light truck tires...

anybody know if Uniroyal are still as good as they used to be? Firestones on it now only have 40k on em and look new but 7 years old...getting scared of em throwin belts. thanx

Personally I'd stay away. Any that have made their way to wagon duty don't last long at all. Never put them on anything we drive.

If you have Firestones that look like new after 40K I'd buy more of them.

Still running the factory set of Firestone's on my '02 F250 with almost 60k miles, tread still is ok, beginning to see some light checking on sidewall.

Even though you have only 60,000 miles you are riding on 11 to 12 year old May-Pop an minute. I would not take any fast curves or mountain passes on those old tires. Insurance nightmare waiting to happen. Tom
