Steering wheel recovering

Does anyone know who does steering wheel recovering for tractors? I used to send them to MinnKota repair, but they seem to have gone out of business and I can"t find anyone else doing it. I really loved the way they turned out with the original materials instead of the new plastic ones. I am currently restoring a Farmall H. Thanks!

MinnKota was [b:19b080c372]THE[/b:19b080c372] place to get steering wheels recovered and seat torsion springs (rebuilt). Quality work done by good people at a fair price.

Plenty of el-cheapo imported stuff in the market today. Seat torsion springs that can't support a 200# man for a week, plasticy steering wheels with spokes that shake out of the center hub after a few hours, etc.. You can buy this stuff just about anywhere that sells tractor parts today.

Seldom do you run across someone who handles "restoration quality" parts or does "restoration quality" work at a pretty reasonable price. MinnKota was one of those places.

I hope someone takes over the business, and keeps the values and quality standards of the current ownership, too.

i've used "dip-it" rubber coating for tool handles on my Ford steering wheel...considering i put it on with a brush its aint bad.

On my "H" I had cracks all around the wheel, I used black spray-on truck bed coating from O"Reilly"s. I removed the wheel, masked off the spokes, and put on 6 or 8 coats, and sanded in between. It"s s nice black, grippy, textured coat, andhas stayed on for a couple years now, does not ruboff.
