Check Out This Knucklehead!

That is the stupidest thing I can imagine, you get what you deserve if you tug on a stump from the top link pin, at least have a drawbar lower than then axle, and even then, no R.O.P.S. and seatbelt, no ballast on the front, honestly there are other ways!

Lucky he reversed the tires for better traction. ha ha.

What could go wrong?!?!?! I was waiting for the chain to slip up the stump and nail him in the head.

(quoted from post at 23:03:49 07/14/13) Besides the obvious danger(s), it's a wonder the top link stood up to it.
Top cover could have ended up much like this one.
Wouldn't you have just loved to be on the seat when it let loose?
PO told me he backed into something with a back blade.

He looks pretty safety conscious, he did set both brakes the
first time he got off?

If that was my tractor I would have used the shovel up side his
head. Sooo many things could have gone wrong, but these
idiots aren"t even smart enough to know how lucky they are.

Quote from the video comments "Thank you all for the constructive criticism. I own this tractor and the person driving did the restoration"
All I can say is the person who restored the tractor knows damn all about driving tractors!

With a little forethought that you're planning to pull out the stump, why not leave the stump high when cutting down the tree instead of hooking up high on the tractor? With a 6 foot tall stump "lever" and long chair it would have come out much easier. It didn't even have any big roots. I almost couldn't watch that abuse of the little tractor and wondering when something awful was going to happen.

I recently came across a video like it except it was a small Japanese car, and the stump was smaller and came out easily. It sailed through the air and through the back window of the car.

as for the comment about the chain hitting him in the head,...i don't think there was anything in there to get hurt..! and if i owned the tractor i'm in favor of the comment about the shovel up side the head....

I don't know if the chain or shovel to the head would do anything  ........seems to me that guy has no vital organs in that part of his body.

Know a man that did that right at the side of a lake with an 8N. It flipped over and steering wheel pinned him on the chest. He was in mud and could breath just enough to stay alive. His young son (5 or 6) saw it happen and ran down the road and a farmer just happened to be driving by on his tractor. Pulled it off him. He was burned bad from his head down from the hot tranny oil. He never got back on the tractor again.

The worst part is it sounds like they're perfectly aware of their own stupidity.

"Don't flip it".

Gee - good advice.

At least if he kills himself it'll be for a good reason - removing a tree stump. That's pretty important.

well I think he was dern lucky...he didn't flip it over and mash himself, he didn't break a link in the chain and impale his head, he didn't break the top link, he didn't seem to burn out the clutch, he didn't seem to spring the front end out of line bouncing it up and down on pavement. My dad would have lit my butt up with a board for being that stupid and dangerous.

I'm disappointed... I was waiting for it to haul the top link rocker right off the tractor. There was hope about a minute into the vid when I heard a pretty good crack... sounded like something gave up although it kept working.

Operator is very lucky to still be breathing. Near
my brother's farm, about a month ago a retired
person was doing the same and ended dead up under an
over turned tractor.
