Makes my stomach squeamish just hearin the altitude. After 30 years of flyin and never a problem, seems like anything over about 4000 feet gets me.

It ain't like it's scary or anything Red, altitude sickness! Started on a skiing trip to Jackson Hole in 1999. Never bothered me at all before that!
Just went to SE New Mexico with wifes niece and hotel was 4600'. Got sick!

Real nice looking rig, bet you can make a lot of hay in a short time. Around here, big sq bales have to be picked up right away, as we don't control the rain, like you, and they don't turn water any better than smal sq bales do.Bruce

Good looking hay. On altitude problems, I've found that driving from 1,700 ft. to 5,000 quickly does funny things to my head. Taking it in two day trips, not nearly so bad. Took it slow up to Estes Park, and no problems this time. Whats the weight on those bales?

You wouldn't be talking about Grand Mesa Would you. Talk about seeing the country from up there. Went over it in 2000.

Probably he's talking about Red Mountain Pass (US-550, Ouray to Durango, 11,018ft.)

My wife's aunt lived in Denver. In 1966 after I got out of the army, we went there with my MIL. We picked up the aunt and my wife had to go up Mt Evans, I think around 14K'. This was my first time driving in the mountains. We were still in the tree line when the aunt asked if I wanted her to drive. I said I was okay but when we got above the tree line, I began to wander. There was an OLD man, about 60 years old ahead of me on a motorcycle. I thought if he can do it, I can too. Then coming down, I was on the outside. Cloudy, spitting a little snow, no guard rail and I meet a bus on a curve. Oh boy, nothing but sky!! Well I made it and we have traveled all over Colorado since. The Canadain rockies are even more beautiful. Atleast you can breath out there, not like Illinois.

Beautiful hay. Just need some hereford cattle to feed it to.
