Power King 2418

Hello. I was hoping to get some advice and information about a Power King 2418 I am thinking about buying. The salesman didn't know the exact model year, but he thought it was in the 80's. It comes with a mowing deck attached underneath. I just don't know much about these tractors. Do you all know if you can attach a brush hog to them to do some tall grass mowing? I have attached a picture of it. Thanks in advance for your help.

I have several Power-Kings to sell.
The 2418 does it have the fiberglass hood?
The tractors didn't have any way to pull a bush hog type mower, unless you got the kind that has its own engine,
There was a rear pto setup one could buy, but it was impractical, as it turned 2,000 rpm.
They are well built tractors, but not the fancyest.
Parts are still avaiable for all of them.

[i:44311ac9ed]No it had a metal hood as best as I can remember. the "2418" was written across the hood top. I didn't get to look at it long as the dealership was getting ready to close and had already moved the tractor into the garage to keep it out of the weather. It's actually at a car dealership. One of the general managers owned it and was selling it.[/i:44311ac9ed]

If it's a 2418, it will have 24 inch tires on the back, and a Kohler overhead valve engine. These engines need more maintenance than the other Kohler engines used in these tractors but it should not be a problem if you take care of it. If it has 2 transmissions it is worth more. Does it have a category one 3 point hitch? The one in the picture is a 16"tires/14HP. thus a 1614. It's a 1978 Notice the different style hood on the one in the back, that's a 1959. The serial number is on a tag on the bellhousing or on the front grill. From that you can figure out the year.

[i:bc1832e0c3]It had really tall deep tread tractor tires that struck me as being closer to 3' tall. I'm not sure about the transmissions.I think it did have the category 1 3 pt hitch out back. I'm not where I can go look at it and get more information unfortunately. SInce its not suitable to hook a brush hog to, that kind of takes it out of consideration for me. That was really something I needed.[/i:bc1832e0c3]

I own several Power-Kings, and have seen lots of them, the ones I have seen have catagory 0 three point hitch. Not category 1.
