New Holland 852 Round Baler

Gents, Does anybody know how to keep the tail gate
shut on a New Holland 852 Round Baler? The bale
gets so big and then tries to tie but doesn't
tie... Please help!!!!

Rebuild the hydraulic cylinders. I'll bet money they are leaking internally.

Had that problem with my NH850 a few years back. One of the 2 hyd cylinders was leaking internally and that in turn let the bale once big enough to open it up and cause problems like your having. A week or so latter the other cylinder went bad also. So rebuild them both and bet that will fix it

Could also be the hydraulic remote on your tractor. If you have 2 remotes, try the other one. If just one remote, try switching your hoses.

If you get the rebuild kits for the cylinder ask the parts guy to print out a picture of how the cylinder come apart if your doing it your self they are bears to open but once you figure them out not all that bad

chek the latching system ,, it is up hi in the front rocking mech ,... brand new hydro cylanders would not hold if these latches are not workin properly
