I am looking for information on reducing the output pressure of a mid 70's chevy power steering pump. Looking to get down to 700 psi. I want to use the pump on my 841 ford tractor.
Thank You

The old Ford and Mercury cars and trucks used Eaton pumps same as the Ford tractors. I bought one off of e bay from a mercury for my friends' 641. Just changed out the brackets. joe

They are supposed to have a bypass valve, for
when your steering is all the way to the extreme left or right,(and the "squeeling" you hear is
the valve bypassing") Pressure should be adjustable
a longer spring for more pressure, a shorter, or
less stronger spring, for lower pressure.
