hello all,
I was wondering if anybody knew where I could get a little history on my tractor. like who it was originally sold to and where and what color it was originally and what features it had when new. I know that the two cylinder club will do it for you for $40 I was just wondering if there was an easier cheaper way to do this?
please help Id love to learn the history of my tractor
thank you
the tractor is a 1950 John Deere MI

Unless you are lucky enough to have a tractor covered in one of the serial number register books, it's about your only choice. You do get a nice notarized certificate for your money.

ok what are the serial number register books? My tractor was in the john deere national calandar

You can find out the history of a 60+ year old tractor for $40 and you're looking for something easier and cheaper? You will never get anything from JD for $40!!! Do you have any idea how many people would pay hundreds to find out the history of a tractor? I'm sorry but that's beyond cheap.

We IH guys would love to be able to get the info on our tractors that Deere is able to provide on yours.

Most of us would pay $40 or more if our info was available !

well, I contacted the 2-cylinder club and they told me not to waste my time.. The only information that they would be able to give me was the tire size and build date. They said that the information they have on M's and MI's are very limited and that it wouldn't be any information that I already didn't know
