Gas shuttoff

Has anyone come up with a cheap electric fuel shut off? I have dumped enough gas over the years because of sticking needle valves, I always shut off the gas,but it is just a pain to do it every time I turn a switch off.

An electric valve can get a bit of dirt in it and fail to stop the flow.Shutting off the gas by hand is the only sure way.

I don"t know what your definition of cheap is....however you might check - Red Rock Manufacturing, www.redrockmfg.com. No charge for looking.

I was always forgetting to shut the fuel off on my Farmall M so I installed an auto shut off for John Deere. So far they are playing well together.

I have had what Janicholson links to on my 4020 gas for over 20 years. It is the normally closed gasoline fuel lock valve for a dual fuel propane / gasoline system. Wire it so it closes when the ignition switch goes off. A great relief to not worry that the needle valve has hung open and is flooding the engine.

I just install a nice 3/8 brass ball valve inline with the normal sediment/fuel bowl in an easy to reach spot. I shut off both for long term storage. If I will just be away from the tractor for a bit, I can just hit the easy to reach ball valve.

Thanks guys, the Red Rock is what I have been looking for, I just want a 20.00 one:) The other one is rated for diesel only. JD parts on a Farmall, I could get band from Red Power Round Ups over that.LOL I have been running a fuel shut off from an 8-N for the reserve feature, I always run out of gas a 1/2 from the house.
