Go see the Loc Ness Monster. I took a whole roll of film of him years ago. In the 80's and 90's things were cheap over there, and the exchange rate for US or Can $ was good... I hope you can have as much fun now as I did then! Keep dry- and have a great time!!

Tony,

My wife and I toured Great Britain a few years ago. We stopped at Loch Ness. I went to a concession stand that is just outside of the museum. Behind the lady who was operating the stand were some shelves with cans of soft drinks. I asked for a Coca Cola. She turned, got a can from one of the shelves, and delivered it to me.

No ice. The can wasn't chilled. Just a room temperature can of Coke. While touring the Islands, I realized that ice is not a big deal over there.

I ordered a soft drink at a restaurant. The waiter delivered a glass of warm Coke. I asked him for some ice. He went away and came back with one ice cube for my glass.

Seems strange to me, but I guess it isn't to them.

Bruce - you might want to take some ice with you.

Two things come to mine. Everywhere I went over there, most of the people will keep to themselves until you speak to the. After that every time you see them they will talk to you like an old friend.
Just about everywhere I went, AARP got me a discount in pubs, stores and public transportation.
Oh-ya Visa was the card most places wanted.
